Dr. Pavankumar Patel is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been practicing as an endocrinologist since 2014 and joins the Brevard community from UPMC Endocrinology Associates, a hospital-based practice in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He previously served as a hospitalist at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University/Conemaugh Valley Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where he also served as chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where he was selected as chief fellow. He also holds a Master of Public Health from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Dr. Patel’s areas of medical interest include diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and hyperlipidemia. He is dedicated to providing professional, thorough, and compassionate care rooted in the highest standards of medical excellence. Dr. Patel combines strong clinical expertise with a personal, caring approach that emphasizes clear communication, patient education, and shared decision-making.
